そこは、練りに練ります。

よく公募展とか見にいくと、作品で、「無題」というのがあります。

「なんで作品名をつけないんですか？」

って質問すると、

「わたしは作品で勝負している。作品を見てもらえばすべて伝わる。
　名前も、作品を縛るので、あえて無題とした。それが誠実なのだ。」

とか答えたりする人がいる。

こらこらー。ちゃうでしょう。
誠実なのは、

「作品と等価の言葉を、私たちの生きている世界の中から見つけてあげること」

でしょう。
言葉は少なすぎても、多すぎてもいけない。
ぴったりの言葉をみつけてあげる努力をする。
それが、自分が作った作品に対する、誠実さだと思います。

だって、自分の子供に「無題」ってつけないでしょ！！
